About

Welcome to the E-ROUTES project official application for digital storytelling about time travel routes that trace cultural heritage paths across European countries.

The E-ROUTES project https://e-routes.eu/, officially known as "Time Travel Routes Through Europe," is an initiative supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. It aims to present European travel routes through Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) holdings and artistic materials that share cultural connections across participating countries.

The project explores travel as both an individual and collective human experience, connecting places and people through shared cultural heritage. It focuses on digitizing and curating cultural and artistic objects related to travel, creating thematic routes across Croatia, Italy, Serbia, and Slovenia.

Project partners

Partners in the project are the Serbian Library Association (coordinator), ICARUS Croatia, National and University Library Slovenia, and UNINA-Centro MUSA (Musei delle Scienze Agrarie) of the Federico II University of Naples (beneficiaries).

Associated partners

The project has three associated partners from Serbia (Biblioteka Matice srpske), Croatia (Knjižnica grada Preloga) and Italy (ICARUS Italy).

E-ROUTES application was developed on the open-source platform Curatescape/Omeka for digital storytelling and rich digital collections presentation. Primary contributors are Nevena Bečanović, developer and Bogdan Trifunović, administrator.
